The section is to be used as a simply supported beam 7.5 m long and carrying a uniformly distributed load of 28kN/m The UKC sections has a second moment of area about its primary (horizontal) axis of 9540cm4. (The UKC section properties are: width (b)= 209.1mm, depth (n) = 222.2mm, Area = 110cm2 , thickness of web tw = 12.7mm and the thickness of flange tr = 20.5mm) (a) Locate the centroid of the section.
