Assignment Objectives: To demonstrate the ability to use project management methodology and tools to formulate a process plan which will be reflected in a Gantt chart illustrating tasks that are critical to the completion of the final project. To allow time for task completion for the Final Project 7-1: Company Analysis and Comparison on HCA HEALTH CARE

Purpose: To reinforce the importance of task and process monitoring as a critical element of project management and to recognize the importance of early intervention to realign critical task elements as needed to meet the criteria required of the final project, familiarizing the students with process planning and Gantt chart methodology

Process Plan 5-1: Gantt Chart – Monitor and Track Tasks & Weekly Summary

Please read the following directions and guidelines to complete your Process Plan.

• Type your Gantt updates in a Microsoft Excel or other Project Management document and save to a pdf to
• upload to Blackboard
• Type your responses in a Microsoft Word document to upload to Blackboard
• Arial, Calibri, New Time Roman or the Apple equivalent font, font size must be easy to read and no greater than 12 pt.
• Use APA format to cite any material you take directly from a source or paraphrase
• Your response is due by Sunday at 11:59 p.m.
• A rubric will be used to assess your responses.

Instructions:

• Work with your project partner(s) to update the tasks that were identified on the Gantt chart that you submitted in Week 4.
• Together, add any new tasks and assign due dates for activities that have come to your attention or have been identified as important to successfully complete the Final Project 7-1: Company Analysis and Comparison
• Individually, in a Word document summarize the following:

  • What work plan adjustments were necessary?
  • What do you consider to be the most significant success of the week?
  • What do you consider to be the most significant challenge for the week?

• You and your partner(s) will submit the same Gantt document for this assignment
• You will submit an individual summary for this assignment
• During Week 6, be certain to communicate any challenges or unresolved issues that exist to your project partner(s) to ensure that a collaborative, cross functional effort is undertaken to resolve issues and complete the final project by the due date
• In addition, develop a plan to update your project group Gantt chart weekly until the project is complete – be sure to include this task on the Gantt chart.
