Being other-oriented means focusing on the interests, needs, and goals of another person.
Idenitfy a person who is important to you (e.g., friend, family member, romantic partner, coworker). Consider the other-oriented nature of the relationship you have with this person and answer the following:
1. What is the type/nature of the relationship you have with the person you are reporting on?
2. What specific things do you say, gifts you have given, or acitivities that you do with this peron that demonstrate your focus on their interests, needs, and desires?
3. What things does this person do that reflect their other-orientation towards you?
