They are one of the Biomolecules that contain a lot of starch. Another is Lipids. Lipids are nonpolar molecules that are hydrophobic. And we have Proteins. I am a protein. I don't get sick which tells me I have a good defense (Immunoglobulin) system. Thank God. Then there's Nucleic Acids. Components are of sugar, phosphate, and a base. Thanks to DNA, I look just like my Father. My Mother use to tell him, if he ever denied me, the Judge will throw him under the jail. Always thought that was hilarious. Anyway. Last night's dinner I made my famous, put my foot in it, Chicken Noodle Soup. I used cut up chicken (protein), chicken seasoning (nucleic acid)(carb), egg noodles (lipid)(carb), corn (carb)(protein). Butter (carb)(lipid), extra butter makes the broth (protein)(lipid)(nucleic acid)(carb) richer. Put all those ingredients in the water first. Let it cook down awhile (about an hour). Then added my broccoli cuts (carb)(protein), carrots (carb)(protein), and onions (nucleic acid)(carb)(protein). The vegetables go in last because I didn't want to lose all the texture of the vegetables. Then I let it cook down for another 30mins. Topped it with Louisiana hot sauce (protein)(nucleic acid). Just in case you want to try making your own Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup. Delicious...... Later that evening I ate a bowl of Ice Cream. It was chocolate with big soft chucks of dark chocolate cookies in it. It's called Chocolate Cookie Crumble. It was delicious. Didn't feel so guilty until now. It had PROTEIN, a lot of CARBOHYDRATES, a lot of LIPIDS, and, of course, NUCLEIC ACID. I'll just be eating a salad today. Oh well, it was all worth it.
