In Falstad, build a circuit using a resistor R=10kOmega in series with a capacitor of 10 nE . Connect it to a square pulse generator producing a +//-10V pulse ( 20 V peak-to-peak) at 10 Hz. For this circuit plot: a) Generated V vs. time (2pts) b) V across the capacitor vs time ( 4pts ) c) V across the resistor ( 3pts ) d) I circulating in the circuit ( 3pts ) To get full credit make sure the four plots are aligned vertically so we can see what happens to the various variables vs. time, the axes are properly marked, max and min values are clearly indicated on the axes and properly derived (show your work). e) Calculate the time constant of the circuit ( 2pts ) f) Draw a plot of V across the capacitor and clearly explain how to "read" the time constant from the plot, as you would looking at the screen of a scope (4 pts) NB: 2 points will be reserved to information in the first page (title, name of partner and TAs, etc)
