In this assignment this assignment you are required to identify an Industrial engineering-based problem that you have identified in your community. You are required to design a solution that will assist you in addressing the identified problem, and the solution must be based on the Industrial engineering theory learned throughout the years of study. As an Engineering Technologist, it important to understand the impact of the problem to the community economically, and not just technically. Task 0 Give the background of the Engineering problem as an Engineering Technologist that was and the design of the solution to that problem. This time around, the focus should be its impact on the community economically. (40) Instructions: Task 1 [40] 1.1. As a member of the team that is working to uplift its community, demonstrate to the team that you are working with, how you can utilise the factors of production to address the problems the community. To ensure that the people benefit economically, the principle of understanding the Voice of the customer in quality management will deeply assist you in the development of the solution that the community will be able to utilise. As a member of the team, give an analysis of the community to determine which of the methods will be effective in collecting that data from the community, so that you can design the solution that will ensure that you get your return on the investment. Draw the Network diagram based on 3.1. (5) 3.1.3. Determine the Critical path. (3) 3.1.4. Calculate the Early Start, Early Finish, Late Start, Late Finish and the slack (use a tabular form). (20) 3.1.5. Draw the Gantt chart of the project. (20) 3.2. As a project leader identify the different stakeholders that are directly involved in this project. Mention at least five, and demonstrate how their area of profession (expertise) will contribute to the success of the project. (10)
