Mini-Project 1 The beam shown in the next slide is supported by two springs at its ends. Make an Excel workbook that: (1) computes the deflection at any point along the beam; (2) computes the maximum deflection and its location; (3) draws the deformed shape of the beam; and (4) determines the location of the concentrated load \( P \) where the peak beam deflection is at its maximum. Use Excel Solver in (4) to determine the location of the load. Neglect the self-weight of the beam and the springs. Assume that the load \( P \) remains vertical regardless of the deflected shape of the beam. Assume that the beam is supported laterally (i.e., the left support can move only vertically). Solve the above problem using Excel and upload your Excel file to Canvas under Mini-Project 1. Name your file LastName_MiniProject_1. The submission is due on October 22, 2025, by 4:00 PM.
