A 40-year-old female presented to the hospital with complaints of dyspnea and palpitations on exertion, which started about 1 month prior to the current admission. She described the onset of the symptoms as gradual and progressively worsening in nature, which prompted the visit today. She reported no PMH of orthopnea or paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea to the physician, but she did indicate that she had prior bouts of retrosternal chest pain throughout her life. Based on how she described the pain, the physician noted them as radiating and anginal in character. The patient could not remember when exactly these chest pains started, but it was when she was much younger in age.
