An engine running at 250pm drives a line shaft by means of a belt. The engine pulley is 650mm diameter and the pulley on the line shaft is 350mm. An 800mm diameter pulley on the line shaft drives a 200mm dianeter pulley keyed to a dynamo shaft. Find the speed of dynamo shaft, when a) there is no slip, and b) there is a slip of 4% at drives 3 and 4 only (no slip on drives 1 and 2 ).
