Suppose one student, called A, missed final test. According to the policy, his/her score in final is zero. This policy, from statistics point of view, is not so reasonable. So, we use regression analysis to estimate A's final score. Suppose there are total 19 students included A. From 18 students record, we find final score (Y) is related with score of test 2 (X). From computer, we find the relationship is, Y=3.22+0.84*X, and SSR=1124, SSE=779. Can we use this formula to estimate A's final score?

Yes, we can use the given regression equation to estimate A's final score. Here are the steps:

1. Check for any violations of the assumptions of linear regression, such as linearity, independence, normality, and equal variance. If there are any violations, the regression results may not be reliable.
