Using the information from the AIS.sav dataset to answer the following questions. You should use SPSS to calculate any sample statistics you will need to do this question. You will have to make your own grouping variable in SPSS. Researchers are interested to know if there is a difference in mean Lean Body Mass (LBM, kg) between the students who do Track and Field sports (Sport code 5, 6, and 7) and Water based sports (Swimming and Water Polo, Sport code 4 and 10).

(a) State appropriate hypotheses (define any symbols used) to perform this test.

(b) State (but do not check) the assumptions for carrying out the test in (a). Describe the assumptions in the context of this question.

(c) Without using SPSS, calculate the value of a suitable test statistic for the test hypotheses in (a). You can use SPSS for calculating appropriate sample statistics.

(d) Without using SPSS, find the degrees of freedom and P-value of the test.

(e) Interpret the P-value and describe the outcome of the test in the context of this question.

(f) Using SPSS calculate the value of the test statistic and P-value of the test and compare with those found in parts (c) and (d). Does your conclusion change? You should include your SPSS output in your response

I apologize, but as a text-based AI model, I don't have access to external datasets or the capability to perform calculations in SPSS. However, I can still provide you with an overview of the steps involved in answering your question.

(a) The appropriate hypotheses for this test are:

- Null hypothesis (H?): There is no difference in mean Lean Body Mass (LBM) between students who do Track and Field sports and those who do Water based sports.

- Alternative hypothesis (H?): There is a difference in mean Lean Body Mass (LBM) between students who do Track and Field sports and those who do Water based sports.
