We can use the Vmax to determine how many Units (U) of Catalase there are in our sample. Determine how many Units of Enzyme there were per gram of your piece of liver (U/g). Assume that all the Catalase was extracted from your piece of Liver into the 30 mL of buffer in the mortar. Note that 1 Unit (U) is equal to the amount of enzyme able to convert 1 umole (umole) of H2O2 to products per minute in the reaction. Use the Vmax that you calculated in your NonLinear Regression plot to help you do this. (Hint: Consider the volumes that we used and also that we diluted our enzyme solution. Figure out how many Units of Enzyme were applied to the filter disc, then from the 5 ul, work backwards considering all dilutions.)
